Volunteering

VOLUNTEERING

Talisman Theatre is a charity run solely by volunteers in the heart of Kenilworth.

We’re fully inclusive and warmly welcome anyone who’d like to volunteer.  There are many opportunities whether you’ve an odd hour to give or you’d like to get more involved.

How to volunteer:

Either email us at talismancontact@gmail.com  or leave a message on the box office answer machine.   You can also pop down to ‘Members night ‘on a Friday evening  (after 8.30pm) when there’s always someone to talk to.  And on the first Thursday of each month we hold ‘Tea at the Tali’ from 10.30am to 1pm.  Feel free to drop in you’ll always receive a warm welcome.

Front of house

Our front of house team is the face of the theatre so if you enjoy talking to people let us know:

Bar:  our fully licenced bar needs two volunteers each show night.  Whether you’ve pulled a pint or are a novice, let us know if you’d like to help.

Box office:  ticket sales are our prime income source so if you can spare an hour on a show night – we’d love to show you the ropes.

Stewards:  front of house includes our ‘meet and greet’ team who also sell programmes & ice-creams and look after the safety of our audience.

Coffee bar:  for our patrons who enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea),we need volunteers for our coffee bar on show nights.

Light & Sound our technical team product some wonderful effects for our many productions each year.   If you have skills in this area or want to learn – please get in touch.

Stage crew:  our stage crew work are at the side of the stage during shows making sure scenery and set furniture’s in exactly the right place at the right time.

Props:  we have a great props team who manage our store, create and maintain props.  During shows they make sure everything is in just the right place for the actors.

Wardrobe:  we’ve an extensive wardrobe and to costume each show many hands make light work of sourcing the right outfits and fitting them.  During shows we also need help in the dressing rooms making sure the cast manage quick changes and to make minor running repairs.
