Talisman Fringe
Talisman Fringe
The Talisman Fringe performs on the first Thursday of the month at the Holiday Inn, Kenilworth.
Come and join our talented Talisman members and local performers. Enjoy a fusion of light-hearted entertainment from short plays, improv, local bands and singers which always promises an enjoyable evening.
Launched in 2022 these events have proven to be very popular in providing experienced and new directors the opportunity to explore some alternative plays as well as showcasing local emerging talent as well as established performers.
All acts are performed at 7:30pm and then repeated again at 9pm. The 7:30pm performance is always very popular so prior booking is advised for the earlier session to guarantee a seat. You can just walk in and pay on the door, but if we are at capacity for the earlier slot you may need to grab yourself a drink from the bar and join us later at 9pm!
The Talisman Fringe performs every month aside from our winter and summer breaks in January and July.
See below for the latest information and dates so you can come and join in the fun!

OCTOBER FRINGE
OCTOBER FRINGE: A CELEBRATION OF POETRY
Thursday 1st October 2026
Holiday Inn, Kenilworth
Performances at 7:30pm and 9:00pm
Our October Fringe celebrates poetry in all its forms, as we mark National Poetry Day with an evening dedicated to the art of the spoken word.
Prepare yourself for a cacophony of verse, rhyme, rhythm and imagination as we welcome local poets to the Fringe stage to share their words with us.
Poetry can make us laugh, move us, challenge us and see the world in a completely different way. From the beautifully crafted to the wonderfully unexpected, this Fringe is all about celebrating the power of words and the people brave enough to put them out there.
Come along and support local poets as they take to the stage, share their work and give us an opportunity to hear voices and stories from our own community.
Every poem has a story to tell, and every poet has a reason for telling it. Join us for an evening of words, creativity and expression as we celebrate National Poetry Day together.
Who knows? You might even discover a new favourite poet.
⚠️ As always, the 7:30pm showing is very popular and regularly sells out, so booking early is advisable! Or why not join us for the 9pm slot after grabbing a drink from the bar first?
All seats for this production have now sold out. Please Contact Us or call the Box Office (01926 856548) for waitlist / returns or for wheelchair spaces which may still be available.

NOVEMBER FRINGE
NOVEMBER FRINGE: DEATH ON THE FRINGE
Thursday 5th November 2026
Holiday Inn, Kenilworth
Performances at 7:30pm and 9:00pm
Our November Fringe presents Death on the Fringe – an evening of intrigue, surprises, comedy, emotion, unexpected twists and touching moments… all without an Agatha in sight!
The evening will be hosted by Matthew Salisbury, with musical accompaniment throughout from our very own Romany Pie, featuring John Ellam, Dave Roberts and, of course, Matthew himself.
We have three wonderfully engaging short plays for you:
Not a Friend of the Family
By Nicolas Ridley
Directed and performed by Joanna Stevely and Dave Crossfield
In a churchyard, two strangers meet after escaping the funeral service of a close friend. As they make small talk, they discover they have far more in common than either could ever have imagined.
Killing Time
By Keith Johnson
Directed and performed by Connor Bailey and Kelly Davidson
A hitman tracks his intended victim to a lonely clifftop, only to find events taking a very unexpected turn.
A Bottle for a Special Occasion
By William Kovacsik
Directed by John Nichols
Performed by Dawn Gazey Lewis and John Nichols
A wine clerk is stocking the shelves when a woman enters and asks him to recommend a bottle that can be placed on the coffin of her late husband. As they search for the perfect wine, surprises and possible connections begin to emerge.
Join us for a darkly entertaining evening of original theatre, live music and three compelling stories in which nothing is quite as it first appears.
