YOUTH THEATRE
We have a thriving youth group that really puts the dramatic arts at the heart of young person’s development.
Talisman Youth Theatre provides members with a great introduction to theatre and wider exposure generally to the performing arts.
The Talisman Youth Theatre is for children aged 10-17 (or the summer term that they finish school). Members have the opportunity to explore all areas of theatre work. Weekly workshop sessions are built around growing an individual’s confidence and of course having lots of fun and building friendships along the way!
Youth theatre members have the opportunity to take part in an annual main stage production in March as well as studio showcase performances throughout the year. Many of our Youth Theatre members also choose to audition for the pantomime as well.
Everyone is welcome and there is no audition or interview to join the weekly sessions.
Meeting days and times:
Thursdays
Group 1: 6.30pm – 7:45pm
Group 2: 7:45pm – 9:00pm
When preparing for the annual mainstage production members will also be asked to attend rehearsals on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Costs:
There are three terms per year and members pay a £30 fee payable at the beginning of each term. Within this cost, they become a Talisman youth member and get the opportunity to see selected Talisman productions across the year as well.

I've been lucky enough to see first hand the brilliant work that goes on at the Talisman Youth Theatre. An amazing group of talented children and young adults all doing what they love, performing. From ages 10 to 17 they really all do have a fabulous bond, all helping each other. Under the guidance of Caroline they are given the opportunity to grow, develop and shine. And not forgetting Kay who provides such valuable support to Caroline in running the group. A real team effort and such fabulous productions from the Talisman Youth Theatre family.
